Well done to the children selected to represent Wallace Fields Junior School in the District Track event on Monday 7th July 2025 at Xcel Sports Hub, Waterside Dr, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2JP from 10am to 1.30pm. See overleaf a table showing which track event your child will be competing in.You will need to take the competitor straight to the Xcel Sports Centre in the morning. No earlier than 9.30am for a 10am start and register with Mr Sellars. Please report to Mr Sellars on arrival and departure. Parents are welcome to stay if they wish. All supporters are extremely welcome. Children will then need to be collected at 1.30pm and brought back to Wallace Fields Junior School. Parents must remain outside the track or in the viewing stand during the competition.
Please note those on the reserve list might not get to take part in the track events, unless a competitor drops out. They are welcome to come and support the competitors.
Please complete the Google form link sent in a previous email to give permission for your child to take part and confirm who will be taking and picking up your child. CLICK HERE. If your child is unable to compete, please let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE by Wednesday 2nd July at the very latest so that we can find a replacement.
The children will need to wear their clean School PE kit and trainers, which they may wear to school for the day or change into their uniform before they return to school. They will be provided with an school athletics vest on the Friday (Friday 4th July) before the event They must bring a water bottle, a named sunhat and sun cream. Children will need to bring a packed lunch with a drink to the event and will need to eat before they return to school. No nuts please or food containing nuts.
