We encourage parents to support school. We are pleased to welcome parents to our “Helping Hands” scheme. The scheme offers an opportunity to work with the children in class, not their own child’s class, such as reading as well as offering other kinds of practical support. We also normally offer ad hoc opportunities for parents to come in to help with Design & Technology projects where you may be in your child’s class. Some parents come into school to talk to classes about their religious beliefs or their occupation. All volunteers who help on a regular basis are required to apply for a DBS check.
