Welcome to the Wallace Fields Junior School PTA

The PTA is a crucial part of fundraising for the school and they make a huge difference to funds to ensure school improvements.  Your donations help us provide the little extras that make the children’s experiences in school so incredible- making learning more creative and fun, which the school budget simply doesn’t have the scope to pay for.

We have lots of exciting events planned for 2024 including a Valentines disco, Race Night, Circus, Comedy Night and World Book Day activity.

Without you these PTA events can not go ahead so please contact us about how you can help.  If you’re able to help with any aspect of the event (ideas, planning, logistics, running a stall - whatever takes your fancy and however big or small) please get in touch with us at wfjspta@gmail.com.

Wallace Fields Junior School has an active and really friendly PTA team with the main committee consisting of the following:-

•    Plus we have an active team of class reps and other PTA volunteers.
We are always looking for new members to join to help drive future fundraising events and idea for the coming year. We are always looking for more people to join the team with whatever skills you have to offer, great at social media management (creating posts, events and responding to queries), admin support (inc. PTA email account, school office liaison, etc), creative skills fundraising experience & lead generation, great local contacts for raffle and auction prizes, event planning, etc – we would love to hear from you all! Cake sale nut policy

We are a nut free school, but appreciate that many cake manufacturers state that their products may contain traces of nuts.  We would advise very strongly that any child, who may be allergic to nuts avoids purchasing these cakes at our PTA cake sales.  There are some homemade cakes and we have asked that these do not contain nuts, however we cannot guarantee that they are completely safe and appropriate, so it is at the parents’ discretion whether they allow their child to consume these home-made cakes at PTA cake sales.  We will label the tables, so it is clear which cakes are homemade and which are manufactured.

Gift Aid

PTA are in the great position now of being able to claim back Gift Aid on donations.  That’s 25% (an extra 25p for every £1) for every donation if you are a UK taxpayer. If you would like to donate to the School Fund with Gift Aid claimed, please use this link https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/8007. The PTA is a charity and can claim gift aid whereas the school cannot as it is not a charity. We also claim gift aid on sponsorship, school fair entrance donations and other donations.

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be collecting free donations for Wallace Fields Junior School PTA? Match Funding

Many companies throughout the UK offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by 'matching' the money they raise. It really is money for nothing, and your PTA could double the amount of cash it raises with very little effort.  Please contact your Human Resources department to check if your company run a scheme and can give you a form to fill in.
