Mathletics

Mathletics is a useful tool for children to develop their speed and confidence in their maths skills. It can be used at home to consolidate learning, complete homework and hone their mental maths, utilising safe, on-line competitions with children worldwide.

Annually we will contact parents to ask for a voluntary contribution of £5 per child in order to cover the cost of the Mathletics subscription. If your child is currently on Free School Meals you will not be required to pay this.

All pupils will be given their Mathletics user name and password on a sticker in their Reading Record. Their user name and password will not change throughout their time at Wallace Fields Junior School.

World Maths Day - Wednesday 23rd March 2022

World Maths Day is an international celebration of mathematics coordinated by 3P Learning (the makers of Mathletics). It’s free, all-inclusive, and open to schools as well as students learning from home. World Maths Day is celebrated every year to make maths exciting and engaging for all school-aged children from all over the world – regardless of cultural or socio-economic background, and regardless of ability. World Maths Day disregards the notion that you are either a ‘maths person’ or not. We were lucky enough to be selected as one of the highest engaging schools on Mathletics to help them promote World Maths Day. A team from Mathletics were joined by a film crew to capture the buzz and excitement for World Maths Day at Wallace Fields Junior School.
