WFJS Boys A football team played St Joseph's this week. It was a fantastic game. Wallace Fields Juniors went up 2-0 in the early stages with goals from Ben LO and Henry M. Although St Joseph's came back to lead 3-2 in the second half. WFJS kept playing well and Aaron made a great save from a penalty. Following that James O equalized. WFJS unfortunately did not come away with the win after a shot from Cassius Dubey scraped over the cross bar. Final score was a draw of 3-3. Thanks for an entertaining match.
WFJS Boys B Football Team first fixture proved to be a great success. WFJS proving to be the stronger team from the beginning. Goals came from a solid performance from Edgar teaming up well with Freddie W to create many opportunities and were successfully followed up by Oscar O and Woody M who scored. Wallace Fields Juniors also showed some potential to work well as a team with Jaydon E and James K creating space from the back. Final Score was St Joseph's 0, Wallace Fields Juniors 5. Well done to all the players who took part.
It was great to see our girls' Football team growing stronger at their fixture this week. We saw performances from Dolsie S, Ivy and Suria M who all had shots on goal though unlucky not to find the back of the net. Final score was St Joseph's 1, WFJS 0. Well done girls we are very proud.
Our netball team played an away match against St Martin's this week. Our team again showed much determination throughout the match. Although St Martin's agility made it really challenging for our players to mark. WFJS kept on trying and managed to steal the ball back on a few occasions. Finding Ayesha and Jessica to score. Final score to St Joseph's 11, WFJS 6. Well done to all the players, spectators and parents who took players to and from the venue.
