This week, Wednesday 9th July and Thursday 10 July 2025, saw the amazing Year 6 production of Star Warts. It included roles for everyone and those not acting were needed for stage crew and it was all in the hands of Year 6. The sound, the lighting and the props were all done by They have managed to pull this together in a very short time - possibly the shortest ever, and because this Year 6 are such a committed bunch they managed it and it was magnificent.

The show was a huge success and so I must thank some key people. Firstly thanks to Hannah Shaw, Mrs Thompson and Mrs Langner for being backstage control and prompts, thanks to the PTA volunteers who ran the refreshments Mr Dodd and Mrs Yelland and Mr and Mrs Biginton.

Thanks to Mr Findlay (caretaker) for being a the sounds technician, the microphone and lighting expert, stage construction and much more. Additional thanks to Mrs Johnstone for her musical direction and the learning of the songs. Thanks to Bluebell White for her choreography of the songs. Thanks to the office admin team for coordinating letters and tickets. Thanks to the two teachers who brought it all together - Ms Gough and Miss Hill.

The children did an incredible job and it was a wonderful show. Thanks to you the parents and carers who came along, helped your children learning lines and supported the show. The children had a wonderful time and it was true Year 6 production. Well done to the children for learning all their lines and bringing it all together in a very short time.
