At Wallace Fields Juniors, we need and value volunteers who support our children and staff. Whether you can offer an hour a week, a morning each fortnight, or another regular commitment, however small, your time can make a real difference.
Volunteering in school is a rewarding experience. It provides a wonderful insight into your child's school life, allows you to see learning in action, and gives you the opportunity to support children as they grow in confidence and achievement. Our teachers genuinely love, and are grateful for, the support of volunteers and they appreciate the positive impact that an extra pair of hands can have.
Teachers are crying out for volunteers right now. If you have ever considered getting involved, now is the time. Even a small regular commitment can make a significant difference to the experiences we are able to provide for our children.
No specialist knowledge is required, just enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to help. By volunteering, you will be making a meaningful contribution to the life of the school, supporting our staff and helping our children to thrive.
Before volunteering, all adults must complete the school's safeguarding and recruitment checks, and undertake some brief induction and safeguarding training. Whilst the training itself is straightforward, the necessary checks can take time to process. If you think you may be interested in helping, please contact the school now so that we can begin the process and have you ready to support children in classrooms as soon as possible.
